Apples

Tell me, what is Beauty for?
Inquiring eyes cannot ignore
A thriving thirst of no return
What is this we long to yearn
Tell me will we ever learn
What is Beauty for?

On Grassy ground I found a Fruit
which fell gently from its Mother’s Root
Such grace in parting from the limb
No flaws were noticed on its skin
For such a beauty cannot sin
What is Beauty for?

Underneath this Apple Tree
No Apple picked for it picked Me
To foster me in its delight
A gift to feed my appetite
Enchanting me to have a bite
What is Beauty for?

I couldn’t help but feel seduced
To taste its consecrated juice
To vulgarly open my jaw and wide
I punctured the skin and fell inside
I never believed I could feel so alive!
What is Beauty for?

Too ravenous to tame my speed
A blinding beauty will deceive
Once skin is bare-the browning sore
No longer mine, No longer pure
Once beautiful but nevermore
What is Beauty For?
